How about tracking the speed of a baseball? I don't see G-Tech devices right on the ball itself.
Gtech RR or SS pretty close IMO. Older Gtechs are not as accurate.

I hope that Primetime (or anyone with a chip) gets to run one of these someday. Would love to see it.
weirder still are stage III GT B5 builds...$10,000 car...20,000+build! JHM RS4 will be a cool car though..$35,000 car, one of 2500 on the continent...and under $10,000 for the blower I'm guessing. Much more reasonable. Considering a tune/exhaust/intake/headers for a B8 (or just about any Audi) will be about $5-6000 in mods, you're starting to get a good deal (finally) on an Audi 4.2 supercharger kit.

not sure I know what you mean. The auto journals are the prime 0-60 worshipers...as are their readers (I always use it as a gauge for interest, having been a car mag nerd for like 20 years)

the drag-strip world is more interested in trap speeds and ET...and 60' times, not 60mph times. Further, how would you propose they calculate 0-60mph? time from crossing through the rollout? ok...and how are they going to measure it? GPS? that doesn't really work. Radar gun? WHat...have a guy stand there all night and frantically run a stopwatch? It's pretty tough logistically.

All the autojournals use GPS to measure 60mph times. They used to use stopwatch/radar but of course that's VERY labour intensive and very inaccurate.

Finally, 0-60mph doesn't really tell a huge story...it tells a very small part of the story...while the 1/4 mile timeslip tells you just about everything you want to know about the car (and its driver)
