So long, S4....kind of.....
I made the decision to part with "most" of my S4....i moved to a 2011 Q7 S-line TFSI. I still have the soul of the supercharged 6, (which is absolutely night and day over my old 3.6 in the '07 Q7), but the fun of the sport diff and S-tronic are gone- for now.
I will be back in an RS4/RS5 when (if ever?) hit our shores-- until then i will live throught the stories on the board, especially looking to see if primetime breaks into the 11's in the spring.
so if you see a Daytona Gray Q7 "flying down the road" in the Midwest, it just might be a driver thinking he's still in his S4....

Awwwww, time flies so before you realize it.. you'll be back in another car that'll puts a smile on your face. In the meanwhile, do what's right. (I assume you needed the q7 for family etc etc)

Aint' that the truth--- i remember just getting into this car around Thanksgiving of '09, and it seemed like last week...
i am very content with upgrading my Q7, and i feel i am getting the best of both (my old Q7 and the S4). Yeah, I know that's a reach, but the Q7 serves MANY purposes for me, plus i wanted to maximize the downstroke on the next RS model without the continued depreciation slide of a seldom used car.
BTW- Every car i own puts a smile on my face, else, i would not have purchased them! It's the frustration of letting them go--i can't hold on to ALL of them, altough i wish i could.
My garage/driveway would look like an Audi dealership if i did...

My Stuttgart Audi dealer has a 5.2 Spyder sitting inside. Pretty sure I got a semi just looking at it. Price - 176,000EUR.
You could always do European delivery..
What made you pass up the TDI and all that torque?

Gents,
I guess we all can relate to giving and sacrificing for our families. After 32 years of raising 4 children, putting them through school and all that, I have decided to play. Just bought a 2011 S4 Premium Plus, Deep Sea Blue Pearl, Nav system, Sports rear, 19 inch wheel package,Carbon Imlays, and Supercharged Badge. A great car but cannot play as of yet with the weather in New Jerey. To those who are raising a family, you will have no regrets in the years to come and will be back in the seat of a great car before you know it.
