Sport mode of Automatic...so many ways.
Thought I'd share this although I'm sure a lot of you found this out already. If you have an automatic you can get yourself into transmission sport mode by:
1) hitting the drive select button on the dash, go into car options and switch it on
2) hitting the car button on the console, go into car options and switch it on
3) pull the shift lever back to engage sport mode
4) floor it so much you depress the button at the base of the gas pedal which switches it into sport mode
Love the variety...

Something I've discovered just recently is that if I use the paddles to shift down into the Sport mode and then decide I want to get back into the Auto "D" mode, I briefly move the shift lever to the right (into the Manual mode), and the immediately move it back to the Auto mode, where it will then display the "D" in the MMI. I use this mainly when I'm in one of the intermediate "S" gears (e.g., 3, 4, 5 etc) and simply want to get into the correct gear for the driving situation I find myself in. Hard to explain, but very easy in practice.

Or just bump the shift lever back to toggle between S and D. Also if you take control with paddles and want to just drop back into "auto" mode, once again just one pull back on the stick gets you there.

Okay, I gotta try that! Sounds faster and easier that moving the shifter from side-to-side! Thanks!

Nice to know. Thanks for posting.
However, I only use auto 1% of the time if that...99% I am in manual mode. Much more fun to actually drive the car yourself than be subject to a computer program...albeit a very good computer program.
