Buy in transit or order new S4 and how are the suede seats?
I have been looking at a S4 for a while now, almost went with the new C43 but in the end figure the Audi is the better choice.
The local dealer has a Quantum Grey Premium Plus at the port, it is missing a few options due to the chipset shortage (never use cruise control so no biggie and a few safety features etc)
But it has the 19" summer perf (will have to swap those out due to weather here) as well as the suede seats - the one I test drove the seats were all suede the one in the photos look like half suede.
Cost with 4 years of audi care is 63,055 out the door, sticker is 61,055 with options (premium plus, black optic, summer perf, B&O, Black badges, beam rings, wheel locks and a grand for the destination charge)
I can order a new one, and next year they have Chronos grey which I love the look in on the Q3, but I wonder if its worth it or just take this one as they said about an 11 mo wait for anything new at least.
And does anyone have any thoughts on the seats? is full leather worth the grand?
Thanks

Get creative. Hit up a dealer or carmax and sit in models with leather and with the alcantara (mileage ought to help determine how worn in the seats are).
The leather is really nice and worth $1k, but I bought a car with alcantara and do not regret it at all. Only you, sitting in a car, can tell you if it’s worth 12 mos to get exactly what you want.

I ordered a P+ S4 in Jan 2022. About 6 weeks ago my dealer informed me that my S4 order would be filled with a 2023 model. Disappointed in the obvious delay, but it will have a new interior option that was not available on the 2022 model: The "Audi Sport Interior Package", option code WTM. Includes black Nappa with Crescendo red stitching and RS Carbon inlays. I decided to wait for the 2023 model rather than shop for a 2022 S4 that some dealer may have(that is not already sold!). The only negative, other than the wait, is that 19" wheels are standard & I would have preferred the 18s. Personally, I would go with the Nappa leather. No choice for me as the WTM option(which I opted for) requires the Nappa leather.

also Why the 18s? Just for the all weather tires?
I might just pull the trigger on this one as I don’t want to risk ordering a 23 and have it pushed out to a 24 as I don’t have that much time
the only thing this one is missing for me is the leather seating other than that I’d have optioned it the same

Less chance of rim damage from potholes & slightly softer ride. The 18s will handle all the lateral Gs that I would put them through!

The leather diamond stitched seat (Nappa) and all alcantara are identical seats

I think I might just go for it - I like the look and I really don’t want to wait
they don’t seem to want to budge on price but I guess that is the new norm

I have a 2021 S4 Premium with the standard leather/Alcantara in black. Being the base trim, I didn’t have an option of full Nappa leather seats and I don’t miss it at all. The Alcantara seat centers stay cooler than leather, have nice diamond stitching and are very durable. The only option I wish I could have had is the B&O sound. The standard stereo is decent but I would have ponies up for the B&O.
