Rlove is correct. It's been a frustrating bug since the B9 A4 rolled out and it only took audi almost 3 years to fix it.

I literally said "please install all software updates available for the car as it's quite buggy" when my car was in for it's 10K service at Livermore Audi.
I didn't record the old software version number before the update. Here's the current version in the MMI setup:
Software version: 1316
Gracenote Database Region North America Version 12
Navigation database: V30959802DL 0069 NAR 2019
Media Driver: DEV_MMX2QC_AU_NAR_G22_061PROD-1
Telephone Driver 10.735.888

My "Software Version" is 0918. They insisted that there is no MMI update for my car. In the service request I referenced this post with version 1316, but they absolutely refused to install any update.
My car is an early 2018 (bought in late summer 2017, still has the rear fog light) S4 Prestige. Is it possible that the update is only applicable to later versions of the S4? Or did my dealer just not want to "deal" with it?

I took my car in for service to Audi of Palo Alto (for re-calibration of the pre-sense after a new windshield which is a whole other story). I asked them to update the MMI to the latest version because I have the same issue with the overhead cam view not sticking.

They confirmed the issue and are currently waiting for an SD card to arrive so they can do the update.

Thanks, on some of the other threads I have also seen that it works on older 2018 models. I'm just wondering if Audi has not made this TSB "official" for the S4 but some dealers are installing it anyway because they know the firmware is actually the same across models?

Mine was done at Livermore Audi, so I know it's a bit of a schlep but you could try to come out here and get the update.
My car was built in April 2018 if that matters. No rear fog light on mine though. I wish it did.

I might check with Burlingame, if they don't want to do it I'll definitely head out to Livermore.... Thanks.
