Default "What if" time : Running Stock S/w, or Stg1 s/w, with AWE K04 or other K04 kit (APR/MTM/AMS/etc) ?

I saw previous reports on running stock s/w with just K04's - promising stuff.

1. Anyone run Stock s/w with AWE kit (i.e. bigger MAF, injectors, manifold, DP's) ? Risks ?

2. Anyone run Stock s/w with APR kit (.e. all the above plus bigger fuel pump, plumbing) ? Risks ?

3. Using Stg 1 code from either of above vendors in either Stg3 config ? Risks ?

Background : it may take months to get full Stg3 s/w for my car.
Problem : what to do in the meantime since it's going K04, and want to avoid multiple operations ?

Default A sugesstion:

Stay away from non S4 parts/kits if you want to do this ie AWE MAF and APR MAF(Bosch RS4) - both of these require custom coding to work correctly. The stock MAF(s) will be much more predictable if you are starting with a 3- config. You can always add/build on top of K04s with tuners products from that point.

Default For $175 you can run stage 3-

not a very big outlay in cash and most of the part might be useful when you do go full stage 3.

Stage3- for $1750 maybe, but what do you mean $175 ?
