I stopped the car, turned it back on and it has not re-appeared, im wondering what the possible cause could be or if its a normal s4 quark. I'm gonna stop by the dealership tommorow to see if its something serious. any input is appreciated, been reading here for awhile since i bought the car in the summer, i was hoping my first post would be about a mod and not about a malfunction light.

I think a flashing MIL is a cylinder misfire, isn't it? That's the way it's been in my other cars

Hopefully you mistook the esp light for the mil light. Esp can and will flash under those condition

Warranty replaced both EGTs and no more issues. This was at 15K.

i am still worried though, im at about 55k miles. im going to take it to the dealership once im back up at school. I am too car savvy, what does a cilinder misfire mean, and is it real serious? also what are the EGT sensors? i drove it for most of today and it seemed to be working just fine, not making any noise or fussing a bit.
