16487 Mass Air Flow Sensor (G70) Signal too High, Help much appreciated!
It all started with a bad alternator...
Last friday I was driving home from work and all of a sudden I started getting the battery indicator and over voltage warning (DTC 16947 - system voltage too high). I planned my sunday out and replaced the alternator, including temporarily removing the passenger side intercooler hose to make room. I then put everything back together and and tested the car. Everything started out good, drove it for about 10 miles, then I started to step on it a little, went around a corner and laid into it in 2nd gear and all of a sudden I lost power and it started stuttering. Check engine and all the lights came on, I proceeded to nurse it home and check the code. This is when I pulled the 16487. I checked the intercooler hose I removed and a couple other sensors, reset the error codes, and check for the problem... it was still there. I have now replaced the MAFS but I still see the same issue. If I unplug the MAFS, the car runs in limp mode with no hesitation. I have not done the pressure test but I have checked the rubber Y connector on the intake system that commonly fails. I put soapy water on it, and ran it and saw no bubbles, probably not the most extensive test but best I could do. I'm at a loss for ideas.... Any help or ideas would be great. Thank you!

Forgot to mention year, it's a 2001
I read something about the F hose, but I don't know what/where that is. Also, another point is at idle, if I push the gas peddle, the engine instantly starts to die, before there is really that much pressure in the system. Does that still mean it could be a leak? thanks.

I fixed the issue. Thought I would post so people can search in the future. my driver side intercooler hose poped off and I couldn't see it very well. thats about it, poped it back on and tightened it and I'm off and running. thanks for the help.
