I had a 1999 BMW M coupe. The short story is that I was hit head on by a drunk driver. Lost the car, saved my life.

It was the late fall, so with insurence check in hand I went and bought a new 2001 S4 off the lot in Greenwich, CT.

Now 6 months and under 7K miles later I'm #2 on the waiting list for a new 2001 BMW M coupe.

I'm thinking it's time to part with the S4, but I'd like to know what you guys think I should ask for it. It's a 2001 Santorin/Black S4 with all the options except Navigation and Factory Phone. The car is in perfect condition and has a clean bill of health with all records. It has never been raced, abused, dinged, scrached, etc.

So, what do you think? What's it worth?

$38-39K, a trade will probably get you $33-34K

roughly $36k so retail should be a bit higher.

You can sort of check ebay and see what prices attract attention there. Bluebook is way too high and edmunds is way too low.
