2001 s4 vs 2000 s4
hey
i have been looking into s4s for quite a while now and i am very interested in buying a b5. What i don't know is the difference between the 2000 and the 2001. all i could find so far is the 2001 weighs more by about 300 pounds and they also have the
* Quattro IV - permanent all-wheel drive system, includes Torsen torque sensing center differential
If anyone knows anything else please let me know i am trying to figure out which one to get thanks

Syncros/sliders were updated on the '01.5 and later b/c of the inherent grinding into 2nd gear on
rpm shifts from 1st to 2nd. STFA for more info. Also, IIRC many of the rebuilds and replacements on B5 S4 transmissions were on M-Y 00 through early 01. My 10/99 build date had that problem from day one.
