60K Miles and Waranteed ... Is preventative maintenance a waste of $$$
I'm about to go in for my 60K service, and I'm pondering the need to replace my timing belt and water pump with my own $$$. Its waranteed by Audi Assured CPO. Would you spend the $$$ on preventative maintenance or chance the engine blowing under warranty?

If you're totally unmodded, i would wait until the factory recommended interval or until just before
the warranty runs out, whichever comes first. If they have the slightest chance to deny it, i'd do it now.

preventative maintenance is like wearing a condom during sex with a stranger...
...you surely don't HAVE to. After all, you could just "get lucky" and not have any adverse affects.
Or, you could come down with some issues and just have your health care insurance take care of the problems.
Unless you cannot afford the work, then I see no point in waiting. A car is an investment, if you want it to take care of you, you must take care of it.
