Ok, everyone is being a little hard on Zerin here
He's correct, we were both hoodwinked by our intermediary.....they added 5k to the price tag without either party knowing. And Zerin didn't "choose" to use an intermediary for the sale, they sort of asserted themself between Zerin and I.
He also made an effort to help when I had some questions for him when we were finally in direct contact. He even made an effort to help me in my quest for sponsors recently.
After 4 years of problems, I don't blame Zerin. I don't think he knew the extent of the sub-par quality work that Mike Staley did. Hartmann fixed MANY problems directly related to Staley's shoddy work. Many shortcuts were taken that resulted in me paying THOUSANDS of dollars to fix them. To top it all off, I was double-whammied by shortcuts taken by past Hartmann mechanics that I mistakenly trusted as well. You can't have a mechanically reliable car when the past mechanic AND your current mechanic take shorcuts and do cosmetic fixes just to get the car out of the shop.
Being misinformed by my past mechanic, I wrongly blamed many people, namely APR which I sincerely apologize for, sadly I think I severed any ties they had with my car by my smack talking.
But, it's been 4 years now and the car is finally in perfect working order, so it's a moot point placing blame, especially on Zerin. I bear no ill-will towards him at all, so no need for you guys to Zerin-bash.
Mike @ Wicked has been gracious enough to patiently fix fix problems caused by Hartmann mechanics AND Staley, and I'm excited that for once my money can go towards more mods, instead of fixing problem after problem. And so, the nightmare finally closes with a fairy-tale ending: Me riding off into the sunset with no CEL.
BTW, feel free to bash that jackass Staley tho. =)

And btw, thanks for all the positive responses, you guys gave me the warm-fuzzies =)
1000 views? That's gnarly
Didn't realize the saga of this beast was that popular.
Although a funny sidenote: My cousin in Chicago went to help his girlfriend go look at a used car. The owner somehow mentioned something about racing and my cousin mentioned that I race.
He asked "Oh cool, what kind of car does he drive?"
Cousin: "An Audi"
Guy: "Yeah? What color is it?"
Cousin: "Bright Yellow"
Guy: "He doesn't live in Southern California does he?"
LOL, so I guess I'm known nation-wide...
