Default After i had my coilovers installed.........(M)

i notice that the car is not that stable. I did not get the car aligned yet because im getting new tires in about a month and thought i would do it after i install them. When i drive on flat roads its ok but i hit dips and the steering wheel goes a little crazy like im fighting it for control. Is this because i need to have the car aligned?? i realize its important. what is the cause of the unstable feel?? TIA

Default i have had a similar feeling for a couple of weeks after i installed my...

stasis track sport c/o. you definitely have to have alignment done but i think that alignment has nothing to do with what you are describing... i would do the alignment but if it doesnt eliminate the problem, give it couple of weeks for valves in your shocks to break in and springs to settle down... keep in mind that overall suspension characteristics will be different from your stock suspension and what you are experiencing may very well be normal for your new coil overs...

Default Yeah, bumpsteer, plus shock pumping. --->

In his other post he mentions he's got rebound set to max stiff. That would surely make the car twitchy.

If I understand you correctly, then I would have to say that it may have to do with bumpsteer as well as you may be too low. If you have the COs height set to lowest, this can definitly happen. Never go full on the adjustments on COs (height as well as stiffness). It has to do with rebound and bottoming out the shocks. Do a search on the topic and you will find lots of info. For starters, raise the car 1/2 inch and see how it feels. Best of luck.
