after replacing valve cover gaskets, cam tensioner seals, and a leaking turbo return line
I am still getting a burning oil smell after running the car relatively hard. All work done by the dealership FWIW. I took the car back on Monday complaining of an oil odor and was told that the replaced valve cover gasket on the driver's side was "sweating" oil. They replaced that side again under their own work warranty but I am still getting an odor so my question is... how long should I expect that any residual oil from changing the gaskets will take to burn off?

If its coming from the drivers side cam cover it is leaking directly on the manifold so it will burn
off in a few minutes of driving. You can look at the manifold when you smell the smell and see the drip on the manifold. Mine did the same thing, those gaskets can be tricky to get on right and if its a little off it will leak.

the cam tensioner seals are what I was told was leaking, so I'm not certain about the camshaft seals
I would assume the dealership that did the work would have seen those leaking if they were in there, but maybe they're all local and one could be confused with the other. The dealer is being stand-up so far and have not charged me anything additional. It's just an inconvenience and I don't want to be a PITA if there is supposed to be some residual burn off. I'd expect that they would give the engine a good wash after the work was done but...
