Depends on the dealer really. I was told by one kid I used to know that they put an RS4 clutch in
instead of a stock one in for him under warranty. That the dealer ordered it and put it in.

They will know based on the part #, but some dealers are cool about it, I know the tech and service
manager pretty well at my shop and they took care of me...the difficulty it that if it's warranty work, they are supposed to have recognized and removed that replacement part from warranty, so if you are supplying the replacement clutch, that is more difficult for them to do.
if they are real cool, they could always just "install" the oem replacement in your trunk and use the clutch you give them in the tranny. I've found it's better to be honest with my service guys and figure out what we can do rather than trying to scam something...it's amazing what honesty and some beer/other goodies gets you ;-)
