Another winter tire option for the Winter, Sumitomo HTR+?
I just bought a set of 17" Sumitomo HTR+... for winter use.
For $88 for 235/40s I thought I would give it a try.
The tires got pretty good ratings, thought I would share.
From Tirerack's website...

I drove them last winter...
I actually thought they weren't that bad. I even had them out on the ice at a lake event in the middle of winter. Not the best snow traction but for an $88 all season what do you expect. Fairly quiet and pretty decent performance for an all season. Let me know what you think after you drive in the snow.

I really like them .. I just purchased my second set from tire rack to put on in November.
Right now I have about 22K on my present set of HTR+ and I only have one tire that wore funky creating some noise.
Overall they are wearing better than the two sets of Dunlop SP5000 I ran prior.
For $89 ea. for 235/45/17 you can't beat it.
