Any interest? Double din dash kit for aftermarket radio install
Im thinking of selling a Double Din dash kit that is either painted to match our interior or un finished in black. I can be used on decks like the avic d3. I bought a metra kit but am unsatisfied with it so im planning on making a kit up. It will include brackets that mount to the car and also the trim ring. The final product will look very close to the one in the tech section, but wont require major adjustments.

What about your kit would be different from what's already available?
I thought there was already a kit from Metra that did not require any mods. I know there was only an A6 kit a few years ago that required a bunch of mods to get it to fit right but I thought that has changed since.

the metra is 2 pieces and the finish doesnt match our dashes

That is pretty OCD. I thought I was particular.
The seam wouldn't have bothered me but you did do a nice job. What paint did you use to match the factory dash color? Is that a textured finish or is it smooth?
