Default you don't really need anything. possible tool list inside

whatever clamps you chose to go with, you need to have the tools to tighten them. and then for adjustment and stuff it is really just all in the arms. maybe a rubber mallet.
my best advice. is dedicate about 4 hours to this task. and dive right in. no matter how manyt times people tell you how to do something, it is never as good as getting your hands dirty. IMO stay away from the shops. any shop should be able to do it, but so should you. get your hands dirty and try it out. it isn;t hard.
you will know it fits when it looks right. if you can move it an extreme amount in all directions and not really hit anything. then assume that is good enough for when you are driving. pretty much common sense.

cliff notes: get dirty and jump right in to do it yourself. it isn;t hard. and if it doesn't fit. do it over till it does.

Default Agreed, but if you aren't the DIY type of guy...

Or don't have the tools, or you just plain don't want to, go to Muffler Tech in Sacramento, on Florin, across the street from the Florin mall. Good place, does good work and is performance oriented... Not your Midas type shop.

Truthfully I would do it myself, but it is a PITA only because my car is low and that stock catback is f'in heavy. Another plus for having another place to do it is they can tack weld it in place so it doesn't shift later. Although taking it off would be a bit more difficult... but not impossible.

Default My cousin was going to buy Colby's S4 (the pearl one) so i know who he is...i dont know how much he'

going to charge. the way i see it, if it's a 30-40 dollar job at muffler tech, im willing to pay and wait an hour or so well it's being done. But i can do it myself i think.

Default yeah, i'd love to do it myself, it'd be fun. Just think if it can be done for 30 bucks and that they

a lift so it'd be much easier for them. But me and my dad will do it. Any suggestion on which exact tools i'll need? rubber hammer, anything else?

Default Get a pair of OEM clamps that tie the downpipes to y-pipe just in case the existing ones are not

reusable due to the rust. The part number is 357-253-141A. You may have a difficult time loosening the clamp nuts if they are really rusty.
