Default Anyone know if the control arm bushings can simplay be replaced? I dont know much about suspensions,

but are there dangers/a downside given the spring etc setup?I want to maybe tackle this myself as I have some clunking on the driver front wheel and some bad vibrations at speeds in excess of 40.

Default when i had clunking on the driver front wheel i had bad uper arm ball joint...

i bought new ones in both sides.
Also i had vibrations at speeds in excess of 40, in my case front rotors were to blame, changed them, solved the problem.

You can not replace control arm bushings without replacing the entire control arm.

Default Yes they can be replaced..

However clunking sounds usually indicate a bad ball joint. Squeaking noises are more common with a bad bushing.

The ball joint cannot be replaced by itself, it can only be replaced by changing the entire arm. Bushings can be pressed in/out and replaced by themselves.

We've got a number of different kits to help you tackle any control arm job.
