Default Haven't heard of anyone's S4 being stolen on the forums yet

The S4 supposedely uses the same key system as Mercedes. Very difficult to steal.

Default I'm sure the S4 would be the last car someone would steal because...

They're not inconspicuous, and there's not even enough A4's to hide it...it's not a honda civic. If you lock your doors with the stock alarm (however good it is) then you should be fine. Someone would have to go through some serious trouble to steal your car...they would rather just take a honda or something.

Default never heard that before. you sure?

if so, it's another bonus for owning an s4.

plus, i tend to think that since most s4 owners are crazy about their cars, they're more willing to sleep inside it than leave it alone if the car was ever put in a 'shady' area. or at least drive to more secure place to park it.

Default Ah, no. What is a theif going to do with this car after it's stolen???

They're all still under warranty, so there's market for the parts... plus, most people on this board can spot one a mile away, hell, and look for them when they're driving theirs. Their just isn't much to do with this car once you steal it...<p>Jason C

Default Also, Brett G may be able to back this, less than 5% of cars stolen are manual tranny.

if any s4s were stolen, it wouldn't be for parts or joy rides. it be for the black market overseas.
