Default APR questions about the new anti-thief....

what if the thief know your ECU model with the anti-thief and swap it, can they still start the car? the reason why I ask is, it took me less then 60 second from the time pop up the hood and take out the ECU.

Default A friend of mine said he could take any car he wanted..

no matter WHAT!

I forgot to ask him about the "glock alarm system" though..

Default truth, they would have to know build year, to determine H vs M HOWEVER

An H will start a M car and allow it to be stolen..

Yes most thieves if they want the car they can steal it!! HOWEVER! with the APR system, its not about crossing wires, you physically have to replace the ECU PERIOD!.. Much harder to steal, most alarms with ignition kill can easily be overcome, especially since the alarms totally give you the wires you need (learn the alarm, learn the colors and bingo the installer did most of the work for you)..

Much harder to steal a car where you have to replace parts in order for it to be stolen

Default Yup, a tow truck is the easiest way....doesn't matter what kind of anti-theft device you have.

I watched tow companies take cars from a night club. 5 cars, less than 2 min. and not one driver of the 5 trucks got out of the truck!!!!!!

Default true, if they want to take any car they could do it, my point is

if they figure out that you have the anti-thief and knowing that the ECU can be swap to start the car with in 60 second, is it really worth $199 after all?
