I just went to the Audi/VW Tech site and now you have to pay $2.00 for a copy of a TSB? Sheesh. So much for using the Internet as a convenient and effective means to disseminate information.

hehehehe you're forgetting they didnt intend for YOU to have that info...
given the owner traffic, I don't blame them for charging a couple of bucks...do you REALLY think they want the average owner poking around and knowing so much about the service bulletins?

I know...
when I've had a problem with them they're an unhelpful stone wall...when they've been doing something right they're all surgar and light.
The best thing is to find a GOOD dealer and work with them...ultimately there isnt ANY car manufacturer that intends you to deal directly with it...that's why they have authorized dealers. You are only supposed to have dealings with the manufacturer when things go HORRIBLY wrong.
We all need to keep this in mind.

Exactly : Every other BRANDS I have had list and give their TSBs for free.
Audi must be in some financial **** to be trying to squeeze as much as they can from us.
They MAY get a bit more money now form me, but after that they will get NONE, I will put my money somewhere 'else' .

If you have nothing to 'hide' :)
But we know they do, I bet the turbo changes were disguised as a simply part number change so 'nobody' could ever find out.
Some people know all the possible implications that a part number means, and when it's backed up by data/examples showing that's exactly what happened.
