How is it that Audiusa.com claims 6.0 for the 6-speed from 0-60mph with the 2.7T and the German site says the same motor version reaches the same speed 2 sec. later. Hard to believe that the German 2.7T is de-tuned, except for the reason of the S6 being the sports sedan (so obviously the A6 2.7T would be held slower).

Has anyone an explanation?

Audi is very conservative about its acceleration numbers. They originally claimed 0-60 of 6.5sec for S4. They then revised that to 5.9. All of the major auto publications have documented times of about 5.5 sec. An 8 sec 0-100kph time, is no doubt, for an automatic A6 2.7T, but I bet the road test times will be faster.

European 2.7T engine has(only) 230 hp, hence the higher no.

230 hp applies only to A6 2.7T, S4 has 265 hp in Europe
