Default Audi S4 newbie, but this can't be right... right?

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/153164/100_0988_hl.jpg"></center><p>Hey, guys.

Just bought a 2000 S4 (Platform 5?) Audi. Worked great for a month. Then problems started...

Biggest problem: Can't shift gears. It started with trying to go in reverse. Grinding, moaning, and groaning from the transmission. Can't get it to engage into any gear now.

Looked under the hood and saw a severed hose. I have upload an image with the hose in question highlighted.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I am beginning to suspect the dealer I bought the used Audi from sold me a lemon.

Thanks in advance.

Thats normal, it drains the overflow. Just route it so it goes through the wheel well.

Default It is what it is, a B5 be ready for the maintence $3-$5k a year.

Be ready for every sensor imaginable and control arms cv's tie rods and wait till the modding starts then you'll think lemon x 10 hope your ready.

Holy cow seriously? Maybe having $2k a year around extra would be good, but w/o mods, seems excessive
