Default AWE Stage II clutch PROBLEMS. Pictures inside. Please help.

I got the transmission out after bleeding the clutch again. All I found was that the throwout bearing is concave where it touches the pressure plate. I measured the depth of the gouge in the throwout bearing it is only 1mm deep. I can't imagine that causing a large problem. Any other things i need to look at?

See the link for the old thread with more info.

Are your syncros, all right? Any grinding before all this happened when shifting?

Default Where are the spring tab positions on the SAC mechanism? What does the other side of the pp look

like? Clutch fingers look okay?

Default Like dscottjr says, whats the other side of your pp look like?

Check the SAC mechanism springs. The SAC ring should be clocked most of the way back CC so that the springs are compressed. I reset mine twice on two separate occasions, and within 100 miles it always slipped back. Eliminate the problem by just getting a Clutchmasters (or other that doesn't use the SAC ring) setup while you have everything apart. See my post on EdyJun's S4 directory below.

My clutch woes
