Blackstone report says I have gasoline in my sample...
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/25538/untitled-3.jpg"></center><p>This is my first report so I'm not sure if I should be concerned or not. Good news is my wear is good and no wear is showing. Also no antifreeze which I was worried about since I had to top it off recently.
At any rate, I STFA and it says that a likely explanation is a leaking injector. I'm about to go out of Certified warranty so if its something I should get taken care of I'd like to do it now.
Thoughts opinions?

Yes...I think its best to use their sample container but I'm not sure its required...
Here is a link to request a free sample kit!
Hope that helps<ul><li><a href="http://www.blackstone-labs.com/free_test_kit.html">http://www.blackstone-labs.com/free_test_kit.html</a</li></ul>

I wish I knew what Blackstone meant by "trace".
<center><img src="http://gallery.rennlist.com/albums/albuq92/AudiS4_oil1.jpg"></center><p>
I often have this problem. It can be lots of things. Ignition, injectors or even just driving style and usage. Anything that might leave unburned fuel in the engine.
Start by getting a good quality injector cleaner. If your fuel mileage improves then that was probably it. How old are the plugs? If they're not in good shape then that can produce problems (especially if you drive very hard).
But I'd say that if "trace" is less than 1% then this isn't anything you need to worry about.

well it was definately cold and I let it...
drain a bit before taking the sample. Only thing I could think of is that I did start the car quickly to put it up on ramps?

True would be nice to know how much...I run Redline Fuel System Cleaner regularly with refills...
Plugs were changed by the dealer at 40k I believe. I haven't checked them but I'll take a peak this weekend.
Thx for the help!

yeah that's it I bet, a rich startup and not enough time to burn off = gas in sample.
I wouldn't worry about it but might do another sample at the next oil change, this time hot.
