Bleeding through the ABS pump on a NON-ESP car?
I have a 2000 S4... I installed DBA 5000 series rotors and mintex pads a couple days ago, and we bled the heck out of the system. My old motul 600 was a lovely shade of black, and I replaced it with some valvoline synthetic dot4. I looked up the instructions on how to bleed the ABS pump, but it seems to only work on cars equiped with ESP.
My car has no ESP. So, Group 3 -> Basic Settings -> Group 002 in vag-com does nothing for me.
Anyone know how to get my old crusty fluid out of my ABS pump so my pedal will stop feeling like jello?
Thanks!

won't be able to cycle the pump on a MY 2000 car with the VAG.
I helped on a car without ESP, we did it the old fashioned way, pump the pedal, open the bleed screw.
Worked perfect.

Yeah, the pump-the-pedal way won't flush out the ABS pump. :(
From another car forum, someone suggested hitting ABS a few times, then bleeding again.
I guess I'll see how that does.
