Default Boost problem.....

Engine has ~ 41k

Chipped (EPL)
Samco TBB
710n's

Over the past few months I have been losing boost. I now spike 15 at the most and as soon as it spikes it drops to 10-12. I cannot recall what the numbers used to be, but they were quite a bit higher than now.

I have not done a pressure leak test yet and that is my next plan.

I did the 40k mile service 1500 miles ago and havn't had a chance to change the fuel filter.

Could the old fuel filter be causing the loss in performance?

Also, after searching I found that I need to check requested vs. actual boost on the vag. Which blocks are these in?

Default I doubt fuel filter is the problem. Cold weather = less boost. So...

15 psi taper to 12 psi sounds about right for my MTM chip in the winter (40 degree F and lower).

If you are in a climate without cooler winters, then it might be a leak.

Default Yeah, I wouldn't think it is a weather related problem.....

I am in North Carolina all year except the summers when I go back to Connecticut. This problem happened when there was still a moderate to warm climate.

I will check for leaks. Thanks for the suggestion.
