Default Bought my S4!

Well, I bit the bullet and bought out my lease this weekend. Car has 30K miles and is pretty close to perfect. Dealer offered to purchase from AoA and resell to me at residual price (no surprise AFS wouldn't budge on purchase price). Plus, I had the car Audi Certified with the 2 year/50K mile extended warrantee for an additional $1K. What else can you buy for around $25K that even comes close. I'm satisfied I made the right decision - thanks to all who offered helpful suggestions on purchasing/buying out the lease on this car.

Default Love Santorin, too...

it's an '01.5 6speed with 10/00 build date, new badges throughout, etc.

Default congrats!

I spent all day looking at S4's on the internet and that seems like a good price. I test drove a '00 yellow S4 two weeks ago at my local audi dealership, on a whim. Well, quattro handling is great! I have promptly decided to buy a '00-'01 S4 and sell my '01 saab viggen. My upgraded viggen is faster than the stock S4 on the straight but can't touch it on corners.

Default you say that the dealer bought it from AoA and then sold it to you at the residual price. Can't you

just buy it from AoA at the residual? I thought that's an agreed-upon number that can't be changed?

Default Find a good '01 w/ build date >9/00 for reliability

New badging throughout (exterior, steering wheel, gauges) indicates upgraded TBB, oil lines, etc. They're out there - be patient and look carefully. Many coming off lease - I'm a good example!
