BridgeStone BLOtenzASS
I've had my S4 for nearly three weeks. I'm very satisfied with the car, particularly with the overal fit and finish. However, I recently disovered a bubble(broken radial) on the side of one the tires. The car has less has been driven less than 500 miles. The tire is obviously going to be covered by the warranty.
Has anyone experienced similiar problems? Has anyone had any luck with the dealer replacing the original set of Blotenzass with and alternative set of tires? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
01 Black/Onyx/6Spd

Re: Covered under Bridgestone's warranty, not Audi's
Who should I see, the dealer or the tire manufacturer? It would really suck if I had to go through Bridgestone. The dealer must still be responsible for replacing it.
Imagine if the battery or car sterio failed, Audi shouldn't expect me to make an appointment with Bose to fix a problem with the radio.
Thanks for your advice.
01 Black/Onyx/6Spd

You are right, but nevertheless, you have to go through a Bridgestone dealer, where
they will explain to you how it's your fault, all bubbles are ALWAYS the fault of the driver you OBVIOUSLY hit a pothole and are trying to pull something here, but if you are REAL lucky, they'll be nice and offer you a discount on a replacement, that will end up costing more than a "real" tire.

Re: Covered under Bridgestone's warranty, not Audi's
I specifically asked my dealer about the warranty on the tires when I picked mine up (I got the Potenza's too) and I was told that AoA handles everything but the tires. I'm sure, if and when I have the tire problem my first call will be to the Audi dealership but I won't be suprised if they tell be to contact Bridgestone directly. Which I'm sure will be a treat given Bridgestone's/Firestone's current situation.
Jeff Miesemer

The tire game in the USA is some kind of racket, I hope Congress does something useful for a change
and exposes the dirty deals to sunlight. Not just Audi, I think something is going on as many car makers disclaim the tires from thier warrenty now.

Haven't some purchasers been successful at getting the dealer to swap for Pirelli?
If so, what model did they provide and can you advise on a good strategy.
Very sorry to hear about your PIA problem and would sure like to avoid it myself...before I take delivery.
