Such blanket generalizations are not 100% accurate. More
Every situation is different on its merits.
Relevant factors include state/jurisdiction rules, severity of violation, the defendant's cooperation/noncooperation with officers, defendant's preexisting record if any, defendant's attorney's "connection" with the judge hearing the case, defendant's attorney's rapport with local police, etc. etc. etc.<p>Peter Y.
