Can someone help who's Recharged AC before, I STFA already...
hey guys, i found the audiworld link that people go by when the recharge their air conditioning. now my question is, so i hook the thing up, and finally realize after me thinking it was broken that you had to turn the guage to allow anything through it. so it finally starts reading and it was holding like 30 PSI. after a while and no cooler air coming through i turned the car off. when i turned it off the gauge went up to 70 PSI LOL, now i know it didnt go that high because looking at the gauge now, not connected its still reading 70 PSI. now i know the air in my house isnt that thick lol. someone help!

yeah i did that, i hooked up the guage as it said to, then turned over my car
after reading 0 and being like what the hell i realized you had to turn it to get it going. so i turn the car on again turn it, and it was making its way up as i turned the guage past 30 almost 40 then fell back and held at 30, after 2 mins of idling and not moving off 30, i was like what the hell so i just turned it off with the guage still connected, went out and read 70 psi on the guage! maybe it was reading the cans pressure since i didnt disconnect it ?

the level will spike after you turn it off.....
the compress will stop and the pressure on the low side will go up from it recirculating. I see the same thing happen on my lexus.

Yeah, so that's what i did, and it doesnt feel like its getting any better, OR taking anything
out of the can. the can just gets real cold and thats it. i dont feel like its sucking anything in. i keep turning the guage to the left to "open" it up to allow refrigerant in, but nothings happening !! =[ thought this was EASY! lol

do you have the bottle upside down?
cause the opening needs to be pointing down. Also make sure the climate control isnt on economy cause that turns off the A/C. You may need to shake the bottle.

read the directions on the can, hold it upside down and upright, several seconds at a time...
shaking the can almost constantly...might take about 5 mins per can. If it doesn't seem to be taking air, open the valve some more.
