Carrera in Bend has diagnosed the problem in my S4, bypass valve, updated parts on the way (read on)
Well I took my S4 to carrera motors yesterday and dropped it off after hours. They called me today and told me that they have ordered two new bypass valves for my car. I guess S4's have an A-model bypass valve and they said the two they ordered are C-model bypass valves. Thought this might be interesting to anyone. Should have my car before the portland aug 1st dinner! Hopefully...Later

What do you mean A-model vs. C-model?
Is this something like the -L vs. -T TBB? Cost? Etc?<p>Corey S

Told you to check that, big problem on audis!!more!!
faulty bypass valves are the most likely reason behind the TBB failure!!prolonged problems can lead to turbo failure, the problem with the upgraded part is that the construction is still the same(rubber and plastic)...i have had bailey bypass valves on my car for 2 months now and they work flawless on my 1.4 bar stage 3 car!!!they are made from billet aluminum and composite, they were created and predominantly used for rally and touring cars, and have been tested not to fail in excess of 40psi boost...AWE is the exclusive importer for these valves...check the TT forum for unbiased opinions on these valves in the improved driveablity and power increases on the 1.8t!!!
