N249 would probably affect both banks.
Does the hissing occur all the time or only when you are on boost?
If its all the time, see if you can pinpoint the noise. Perhaps check if an injector somehow came unseated.

Thanks for the help...I should also note...
That I have had this fault code for about a month but it hasn't casused my CEl to come on.
