the main components are some RS4 fuel injectors and intake components as well as a higher capacity fuel pump. You will need to get your ECU tuned as well.

I would just grab an off the shelf RS4 kit from one of the major tuners - this is probably the easiest and most tested method and not all that expensive really.

I guess it's possible, but I can't imagine it will be significantly cheaper. The higher capacity injectors are $100 plus a piece, and you'll need 6 of those of course. Then there's the pump, RS4 airbox and intake components...Even if you get a good deal on each individual component you still have to pay someone to do a custom tune.

But don't take my word for it - I haven't done any research. I'm just saying the parts cost so and so much, and in the end how much less than 2k can it be?

$100 a peice for injectors. You Lie.. maybe for some fancy 60#. But you don't need that.

I would think about picking up a used fueling kit from a major vender, lots of savings to be had.

And click on homebrew. Other sections are also very informative, like injectors and MAF. Apparently you can make your own MAF housings for couple of bucks etc

They are just OEM Bosch injectors @ RS4 specs. Direct OEM Bosch replacements for stock s4 injector run $130 a piece as well. I have not seen a reliable injector for under $100, not even for my old 1.5L honda civic. If you have a source for cheap and reliable injectors or even 60# please to be showing my good sir.
