a) Do they drive your car enough to detect a chip;
b) Do they hook up their VAG tool only when there is a problem, or do they do it as part of the service (just to make sure there are no DTCs)

They forget to rotate tires AND forget to put the oil I brought which it's right there in the passenger's seat so I would not count with that, depending on where you go.

My dealer (big dealer: Audi, Porsche, VW + Chevrolet, etc. to the side) uses young kids to change oil, they won't bother hooking up a machine unless you have a complaint, even then, I doubt they have a vag on every stall (perhaps portable ones??).
