I've seen a couple references to coilovers being "louder" than standard shock/spring combos as of late. First, I thought all that coilovers were are matched shocks and springs. Apparently I was wrong about that. Second, can somebody explain my coilovers would be "louder" than spring/shock upgrades?

The only causes could be...
deletion of the rubber perch cushions in the coilovers, stiffer springs transmitting more road vibration to the chassis, or confusion as a result of shorter tire sidewalls.
Don't know about helper springs, mine are H&R and they are quiet, no issues.

I have the full MTM setup, and there is no additional noise.
I think if anything, they are quieter, the Koni's have a high compliance range for short movements, so less bump "edge" noise gets transfered to the body
