Considering the KO3's durabilitly.....

Yes, I agree, but if AOA is doing a warranty replacement and won't swap in the KO4s
I was just wondering if you could turn the KO3's to help defray the cost of the upgrade. It is double the work though. How about an indi shop doing the warranty work and then get the KO4s in that way? Would AOA do that or must it be done at a dealer?
BTW my car is running fine(12K) at this point and is stock, but if it ever happens, I'd like to supersize ;-)

Or just have the tech touch the new K03's to the car while it's apart...
...drop them to the ground and then accidentally pick up a pair of K04's "by mistake" that happens to be laying right there. Then somehow your car ends up with K04's in it and you have new K03's in the box you used to have a new pair of K04's in before you left the box on the floor.

Really? I have heard that even Borg Warner came out with comments regarding issues with the K03 (QA)
and maybe most of the issue lies in the Audi lubrication system and oil lines being crimped at the factory.
But losing a single vein/fin off one of the wheels is not a lubrication issue, it's a manufacturing defect.
