Coolant leak question

Coolant leak question
Today I was changing my oil and I noticed pink crusties and a coolant drip on the passenger side of the oil pan (opposite the drain plug). The leak was coming from something above (arrow shows flow direction).

The leak is confined to the passenger side apparently, and the plastic shield only has residue on that side.

I've been searching for this leak for a while, as my coolant level in my reservoir went from max to min over a span of a month or so.
Does anyone have any ideas on what is located above this that could be the source? I'm hoping my mechanic can get the car in soon to take everything apart, but was just wondering in the meantime if anyone has any ideas.
TIA

Here are the possibilities:
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/110556/pass-coolant-leaks.jpg">
1 - Turbo coolant return
2 - Small coolant feed from thermostat housing leading to front lower coolant crossover pipe behind snub mount bracket
3 - Lower radiator hose attachment to thermostat housing
4 - Thermostat housing attachment point to block (o-ring)
5 - (Very remote chance) Rear coolant crossover pipe attachment to passenger side head (o-ring)

It could also be the aux water pump...
Mine was also leaking from the same areas and it was the aux water pump (about $100). It can be a challenge to replace because it's located under the intake manifolds.

The end of the turbo coolant return is behind the motor mount bracket attached to the block.
I'm willing to bet it's either that or the o-ring for the thermostat housing.
PS - you're welcome!

I'm willing to bet you're right too, its prob one of those two. I just replaced both water pumps
a while back and there are no pink crusties in the 'V' under the intake manifold, so I doubt its the aux pump.
How hard is it to get at the coolant return? Does the engine have to come out?
