Default Coolent Level Sensor

The two wires connected to the sensor are shot they appear to enter a harness then head off into the box area near the ECU. Have anyone replaced the wires? If so it it much of a job? Thanks in advance

I presume they are brittle and cracked. I just spliced in new wires.

Default Well...

Went to where it wasn't brittle, about an inch from the harness. No way I was going to tackle the harness!

Default ok, got it.....

i did the same took to about an inch before it entered the harness. At the coolent sensor i stripped off all the brittle insulation and added some wire. I soldered everything up and sealed it all with heat shrink tubing, 3M 33 and cloth tape. All is well.... no more false coolent low warnings. Thanks for the help.
