could i just lower my car by 1.0 inch by doing front and rear springs...

Default could i just lower my car by 1.0 inch by doing front and rear springs...
I want to get 18's, but will need to lower the car just a bit to compensate for the wheel gap. Can i just put in some H&R Sport Springs w/o doing the Springs + Coilovers set ? I want to make sure i have a very firm ride while improving the look by giving it that much needed drop to reduce wheel gap..

I thought so but it kills the stock shocks doesn't it?

I had MTM springs alone for 35K without a problem - stock shocks held up just fine

Default No, but some people who got talked into buying Koni's with them...
want to pretend it kills the stock shocks, so they don't feel they wasted money.

Default Very true. I just replaced mine with MTM Koni about 3 weeks ago and while the improvement
is there, it's nothing drastic. The car settles a little quicker now but not by much
