Default All four of mine are fine. ;)

I think Andy Hedin had larger pics of that article. Can't seem to find the link though.

Default ALL metal rotors eventually crack if subjected to enough heat...

in a race application, that looks like a perfectly normal rotor to me...our Civic rotors look like that after about 12 hours of racing.

Generate enough heat and you will fry the brakes...the badge on the brakes makes no difference.

Default ah...if you can read the caption, those are the rotors off an ALMS BMW that ran at Daytona...

being shown as an example of what happens to rotors in racing applications and what a "used up" rotor looks like.

Default the caption mentions the teams' other car ran another co's rotors and had to replace those rotors...

during the race, while the Stoptechs did not.

Default Yep -- Alcon's after three one-hour sessions at Mid-Ohio ...

.
in one day. I've had these rotors on the S8 for more than a year and several track events, but the last one at Mid-Ohio was over the top. Before I go back the next time, I'll get some air ducted to the rotors.

Default the article didn't say it, IIRC, and it's not worth going into another brake jihad here... :P

not that we all don't know. ;-)

Default I was thinking of this debate on Saturday...

We were on a pretty radical canyon run and one of the TT guys stopped with smoke pouring out of his brakes.
