CV-joint/boot questions / sort-of followup to my wheel drama (more)
1) How much is the leaking cv-joint going to cost me? (parts and labor, if you can)
2) Is it possible that when I raised my car to take the wheels off, that this aggravated the cv-joint problem? Maybe that's why I'm only feeling it now, while I wasn't feeling it before I swapped wheels?
I'm puzzled why I'm only feeling this now, because I'm pretty sure it was leaking before I swapped wheels and I didn't feel anything this morning.
TIA.

torn boot wouldn't make noise. If it's been torn a long time and
damaged the cv, then that could make the noise. Either would take about 2-3 hrs to fix. Half axle to fix cv is about $250. Boot kit is about $20.

yep about three hours a side and they usually go in pairs..replace ASAP don't want to have to...
replace the joint. I remember that guy who came on trying to diagnose a sound coming from the wheel well. He had been driving on a torn boot he knew about for a couple of months IIRC..so funny
