I haven't heard of any B6 mirrors failing yet, so that's a good sign
The first of the leaky B5 mirrors had just started to die in notable quantities around the start 2005. That's about the same age as the early B6 mirrors are now.

Mine went a few weeks ago. It happened on a really hot day. I didn't see the logic of a used
one of unknown age/ condition. Went w OEM Discounted thru one of the advertisers here.

Mine went a few weeks ago as well. If you disconnect the power from the mirror it should stop
leaking aside from what might have been already relased inside the plastic housing. I'm looking for a replacement as well but I'm not in any hurry.
