ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Well, tonight was my bachelors party and we were on our way from karting to the pool hall and we were heading up I-5. Traffic was pretty heavy, I was one of the middle lanes. I look up and there is about half a stupid **** mack truck retreaded tire sitting smack in front of me. No time to move, nowhere to go (cars on both sides)... WHACK!!!!

We get to the pool hall and I really didn't think it would be that bad, but I got out of the car and just about crapped my pants when I saw the damage. It's hard to see in the pics but the bumper is cracked down the lower center section and the fog light grills wouldn't even go back on. Looks like new front bumper time for me. Well, this time around I will at least get StonGard on my front end! I will probably pay the extra and just have them repaint my whole front end so it matches properly.

The night was fun though, and all the guys chipped in and bought me a VALENTINE ONE!! YEAH!!

Anyways... here are the pics of my very dirty, wounded S4.

Default Tell the insurance company that it came off of a truck or it will be collision.

I had the same thing happen a couple years ago and they covered it under collision whereas if I had told them it "flew" off the truck it would have been comprehensive. Just trying to save you some money by keeping your insurance from going up.

Default yes and all flying projectiles never hit the ground before hitting your car...

some insurance compnanies see a "lucky" bounce as an act of god and wont cover it.

Default No need to repaint whole front end, if they use the right paint.

If your current paint is OK, more paint would just make it more brittle and damage-prone.

Also, remove the license plate cover, and the two innercooler covers, before they fall off.

Good move getting the S4 before you got married. They can find many other ways to spend your $$
