I noticed that in the upper 25 percent or so of
my auto-dimming (inside) mirror, the headlights
seem to have astigmatism. There seems to be
a stack of 2 or 3 lights where there should
be one. Things are normal in the lower 3/4
of the mirror.

Quite annoying.

Is this a bug or a feature?

I'm trying to decide whether to ask for a
new mirror under warranty.

looked at some ercoupes at Corona air port and had read quite a bit on them. Like the idea of it being a "convertible" and of course it LOOKS like an airplane. Couldn't get hangar space for a partially fabric (or wood) plane so didn't persue it.

Ultimately what I REALLY wanted was a Longeze but Dick Rutan talked me out of it and financed the Warrior through his bank. I ended up selling the Warrior and sort of wandering out of flying when I got back into racing. Was disappointed that planes were so "crappy" compared to cars mechanically and that they had such low performance. There was alot of appeal in a vintage plane but again...no hangar.

Looks like fun!
