Did my turbos back up their bearings and leave?
Hi guys.
So, I just hooked up to a VAG-COM the other day to try and find out why my car is acting so sluggish. I'm at 80k miles, so I thought the turbos might be due for going to sleep. But they weren't making any obnoxious noises yet, so I was stumped.
I got a fault code that a few friends have all agreed can only mean my TBB is torn from the OEM clamp, and I need to replace it. That's great, no problem.
But I also noticed a hissing sound coming from beneath the driver-side engine cover. I popped it off, and oh hey, the vacuum line connected to the fuel pressure regulator is torn WIDE OPEN. The cloth covering AND the rubber tubing look like they've just been notched 1/4" wide.
Does anybody know the part number for that vacuum line? Or how I can safely patch it temporarily?

dont know the part number, but if you go into audi, the have spools of it....
just tell them its for the FPR and they will know which vacume hose to give you.... they usually hook me up w/ stuff like that when i go in, but i know a few of the guys taht work in parts just from going in there... it should be cheap either way, all you need is a foot or so.... good luck
