Default Re: where does one get a good deal on a 16"SPAL Fan??(Edit)

This isn't where I bought mine, but this is the model I bought. When I put it in I also ditched the secondary fan that sits on the front of the radiator.

(Edit:The cfm is 2070 hence the model #2070)

Just try to find something with high cfm's, the SPP kit is pretty weak, I think the Spal fan I bought is around 2070cfm. this isn't a quiet fan, when I turn it on high, you definitely hear it in the car, but for me it's more than tolorable.

http://www.slickcar.com/productdetails.asp?ProductID=123</a

Default Dave, search for this on NickGustas or Piggie, we all did these a few years back

Nick found a Spal that had a really good flow rate, better than some of the tuner offerings, and cheaper. I bought one(EFK) but ended up selling it without installing. The Audi clutch is supposedily a low drag unit anyway... still probably worth a few HPs to do though.

Default I think it's great. I just used a bigger spal 16" fan and it sits in my garage. Either someone

That's the one I'm running. Although I don't think I'd call it "quiet".
