Do any of the S4 chips have the ability to go between stock and chipped mode by flipping a switch?

Default Do any of the S4 chips have the ability to go between stock and chipped mode by flipping a switch?

I would like the power of a 1 or 1.1 bar chip, but would like the option of being able to switch back to the stock .7 bar for my morning commutes when I don't need all the power.

Default Interesting idea, but I think that would have an adverse affecton the car in the long run..

Nothing I have ever heard, you would have to all three chips in the car, with different programmable features.

Default I think so.....But......

Wett (www.chip-tuning.com) has a socket built in to their chip so you can swap in and out, but don't know if you wanna do that every day.... every time you goto the service department of a not so chip-friendly dealer maybe... but not everyday....

Default chips need time to fully acclimate... thats why when you put them in...

theres a 2 minute engine on (dont touch accelerator pedal) then a 2 minute with engine idling (again, dont touch the accelerator) and then they may even take up to days full days to fully adapt to a car. Hardly something an "on/off", or "A/B" switch would handle very efficiently. You'd be running data from two separate chips... embedded and initial. Probably confuse the hell outta something in there... and some EPC and check engine faults. Sounds tasty, but prolly not something thats in you/your cars best interest.

Default Wetterauer used to offer one in the U.S....

One of their first A4 1.8T chip offerings included a chip that was switchable between "stock" and "tuned" via a dash-mounted switch. As others have mentioned, it caused check-engine lights to come on and was pulled from the market. I believe it's still available in Europe.

Please make it so that we can have a `valet parking' rev/boost limiter, I'll be first in line.
