Does the tranny have to 'move' in front end accidents for safety reasons? Would DTS....

Default If you see the bolts that hold it on, its not an issue...

It takes a lot of energy to crumple the front of a car, and takes very little to sheer a bolt.

Default so their shear comment is just marketing propoganda? Seems like they're opening themselves up to

liability concerns by saying they will shear - why not just say nothing?

Considering the only ones with a CNC are the original manufacturers.

Default Right, but in a high energy crash when a matter of milliseconds is all it takes...

to convert the energy pulse from one that is absorbed by the car into one that is transmitted to the body, who can say until crash tests are done?

Default I doubt it would affect safety, it would break before that was an issue.

I do think that in front end collisions, the DTS has a very good chance of damaging the chassis in a very bad area.

If rebuilding after a wreck is not a consideration, then don't worry about it.
